LITTLE GUNPOWDER FALLS STATE PARK

The Little Gunpowder trail system is located within the Central Area of the Gunpowder Falls State Park, with trails situated on both sides of the Little Gunpowder River. The trails here have been developed and maintained by the Gunpowder United Mountain Bike Operators (GUMBO), with the goal of building a world class trail system.

Little Gunpowder offers a little bit of everything. North of Harford Road, you'll find fast and flowing singletrack, with little elevation change along the river, but more challenging climbs and fun descents further north and across the river on the Harford County side. To the south, you'll find generally rockier terrain and a bit more technical riding.

Be sure to not miss the Waterfall Trail, for the scenic beauty of the falls and connection to Winterfell, a fun and twisty trail that eventually brings you right back out at the bottom. Then see if you can find the Overlook, for it's impressive view and rocky cliff.
