The Housley Loop is the most accessible loop in the Annapolis Waterworks Trail and provides public access and parking from Housley Road. Fast and flowy single track.
Park on Housley Road on the shoulder near the Stone Point Apartments. Look for the trailhead to your right in the woods on the left side of the stormwater drain.
Defense Highway Connector trail connects the Housley Loop to the Defense Highway Parking Lot and Solar Park Loop. Progressive benched design.
The Solar Park loop is best ridden counter clockwise. The low side of the loop includes awesome progressive benched trail dipping down near the water of the old Annapolis reservoir. The upper side of the loop follows the fence of the largest solar project located on a landfill in the United States, which offers dramatic views of the topography below.
Silopanna is the innermost loop in the Annapolis Waterworks Trail. Similar to Bacon Ridge. Flowy contour trail that traverses some unique pine groves.
DO NOT PARK IN THE DEFENSE HIGHWAY PARKING LOT TO ACCESS THE TRAIL. PLEASE PARK AT THE HOUSLEY ROAD TRAILHEAD AND ENTER FROM THERE.
