GILLIS FALLS

While still a work in progress, the trails at Gillis Falls offer a fun and challenging ride for those in the Mount Airy area.

Small ridges and stream valleys provide exciting terrain to ride and cover this county park that was once slated to be a reservoir for Carroll County. Expect to see more than a few rocks and encounter several stream crossings as you ride past the remains of an old summer camp from decades past and enjoy the area.

There are still several steep and loose climbs and downhills, however, these are being rerouted and replaced with switchbacks, more sustainable and flowing trails.
