FREDERICK WATERSHED
Just north of Frederick, Maryland, adjacent to Gambrill State Park and accessible from the Gambrill State Park Yellow loop is the Frederick Watershed.
The “Shed” is a fantastic mountain bike playground extremely popular with Washington D.C. and Baltimore riders. There are miles of unpaved forest roads and rocky singletrack trails winding all over Catoctin Mountain, all of them are perfectly suitable for off-road bikes and provide an incredibly challenging playground for advanced riders.
The terrain is very steep and rugged, and suitable for intermediate and advanced riders.
