BLACK HILL REGIONAL PARK
Black Hill Regional Park in upper Montgomery County has about 18 miles of natural surface trails and offers some good trail riding for all skill levels.
The trails in Black Hill would be categorized as easy to moderate technically. However, the fast, twisty and flowy single track will leave every rider with a nice smile on their face. On the East side of the park the Hard Rock Trail Loop offers some nice climbs and a few rock gardens to keep you on your toes. The Cabin Branch Trail in either direction can challenge your bike handling skills nicely if you are a rider who likes to push the pace. On the west side you have the now infamous Ten Mile Creek Trail and Cool Spring Run. From the top of Cool Spring off Clarksburg road you have about a 1.1 mile banked curve, small roller descent that you can really lean into and definitely catch some air! Ten Mile Creek is known for its very fast, flowy and fun rolling sections as well as the scenic beauty of Little Seneca Lake. The Osprey Loop is a very nice bonus loop off the Ten Mile Creek trail if you would like to get off the beaten path for a bit of solitude.
Black Hill is definitely worth the effort to pack up your MTB bike and gear and head to upper MoCo!

Ten Mile Creek is Flowey AF

This trail is a ton of fun. Easy and Flowey the whole way. Very crowded though. Be ready for hikers, kids, dogs, or a hiker's kid's dog around any corner. Off hours may be more promising.
