2020 Winter Membership Meeting
Save the Date, February 1st
February 1st, from 6pm-9pm is MORE's Annual Winter Membership Meeting at the Gwendolyn Coffield Community Center, 2450 Lyttonsville Rd, Silver Spring, MD
Shake off those freeze/thaw blues and come meetup with your local MTB community at our annual meeting to celebrate all the hard work our volunteers have put in to the 700+ miles of trail we have built and maintained. It’s officially called the winter membership meeting, but when there are rides before the event, awards, beer, BBQ and potluck dishes - really, it’s a party!
Why Attend?
- Mountain Bike Hall of Famer and six time Leadville Trail 100 MTB winner Dave Wiens will be our keynote speaker and leading the ride prior to the event. Dave will discuss his experiences racing, the current status and strategies at IMBA and most importantly the focus of "Trails close to home".
- Award ceremony for the hardest working volunteers out there, featuring the Scott Scudamore Lifetime Achievement Award, Partnership of the Year Award and special award presentations by our very own; Joe Whitehair, Todd Bauer, Eric Crawford, Mike Klasemier and Tom Howe. Have you qualified for the Hall of Fame with 20 hours trail work or leading 5 rides?
- Pre-meeting rides at NW Branch led by Shawn Punga, Steve Newton, Tom Newton, Michael Winings and Todd Bauer.
- Pot-luck, please bring a side dish to share, entree will be provided by MORE. We're still looking for a Beer sponsor and will provide soft drinks as well (don't worry, we'll have beer)
