SENECA GREENWAY TRAIL
The Seneca Greenway Trail runs 11 miles from Rt 355 to the south end of Damascus, MD, following Seneca Creek most of the way. The final two miles are named the Magruder Branch trail.
This trail has great stream valley views and lots of flowy singletrack. Much of it has been machined recently to move it out of the floodplain. Be ready for some hill climbs. At about 7 miles north from Rt 355, the trail crosses Seneca Creek, but without a bridge. Be ready to wade this crossing or turn around, its unrideable and there are not enough stepping stones to get you across.
The trail ends at a paved bike trail you can take into Damascus for lunch, or ride 3 miles west to Little Bennett.
