The Cosca mountain bike trail system is a hidden and scenic gem among locals. Just a short drive from several other trail systems in southern Maryland, it offers some fun and flowing single track in a natural setting. While you won’t find elaborate skills areas, drops, or anything majorly technical- there’s about 10 miles and plenty to please any skill level for an hour or two. A bonus is that the terrain is one of the most rain/moisture tolerant surfaces in the metro region; trails hold up great when conditions may steer you away from other parks.
Tons of free parking and squeaky clean, heated facilities- there’s even plenty to keep your non biking family members busy while you ride. This includes a lake, skatepark, indoor tennis courts, multiple ball fields, a playground, outdoor pavilions, a campground, and a nature center…just to name a few.
