Prince George's County MTB Advocate Needed

Prince Georges County is ramping up its options to build new natural surface trails in the county. At the request of the new parks dept leadership, MORE recently provided the county with options for companies that do trail assessments and trail building. They are looking at options to expand the trail networks at Cosca, Fairland, and Patuxent River Park, and to build in parks that don’t currently have natural surface parks. Message from the President

I hope you're enjoying some of our 782 miles of sweet single track now that the COVID 19 pandemic is coming into control. Many of you have already attended trail work days, attended or participated in races and events, and now the MORE Calendar is filling up. Keep reading for important dates for our Fall Camping Trip, MoCo Epic and Patapsco Trails Festival. We're off to a great year expanding our trail systems and coordinating trail maintenance. Enjoy the summer and get out on your bike and if you are looking for MORE places to ride, check out MORE's website section on Where/When to Ride for trail maps, trail descriptions, and MORE information.

2021 Spring Trailhead News

Message from the President

Spring is in the air and bikes are rolling on over 780 miles of MORE volunteer maintained trails in over 60 parks. You and fellow volunteers logged over 11,000 hours of volunteer service in 2020 despite the pandemic. Welcome to our newest members who've joined our mountain biking community. New board members Kathy Mihm (Communications) and Clay Deming (Activities) are already stepping up to help Peggy Flaxman (Executive Director) and fellow board members plan for relaxed social distancing guidelines. Maybe, we'll be able to gather outdoors in greater numbers soon... Our non-profit partners have also been busy getting ready with new programing opportunities.
