While not On Mt. Vernon properly, they are just a quick spin away from our First President’s Home and are mostly complete and ready to Ride! Everyone is welcome to visit and use the 3 new multi use trails behind the Mt Vernon Recreation center on 2017 Belle View Blvd, Alexandria, VA 22307. These new trails feature a few miles of various mix and match linked trails and lots of really fun elevation change with a wide variety trail styes including a mtb specific 800 foot jumpline and about 3000 feet of newly created machine built trails built by Bergrad Trails who also worked on the Fountainhead project. The trails are hidden within the beautiful wooded scenery nearby the George Washington Parkway and a great way for local Alexandria, Arlington and Washington DC folks to ride something local and new. MORE and the Fairfax County Park Authority sponsor a fun Weekly Wednesday night trail building from 5pm-7pm to hand finish and rake a few thousand feet.
