MORE Board of Directors elections are scheduled for December 12 – 19, 2020. Open this cycle are Activities Director, Membership Director and Communications Director. MORE encourages members to nominate members (with their permission) or yourself for vacant positions by sending an email to email@example.com.
Up for election – Membership, Activities and Communications Directors
Membership Director – 2 year term – Responsible for and not limited to managing membership activities including communicating with IMBA on membership drives, renewals, joins and resolving any issues which may occur.(IMBA processes membership payments, database and provides limited communications for MORE.) MORE’s membership director manages all aspects of chapter membership-related communications. This includes welcome emails for joins and renewals and notification emails to members who are due to renew, have lapsed or expired memberships. MORE’s membership director works closely with MORE’s board of directors to grow membership, reach and advocacy. The Membership Director reports monthly on membership statistics and trends to the Board of Directors.
Activities Director – 2 Year term – Responsible for and not limited to coordinating MORE’s social events including Winter Membership Meeting, Spring Fling, Summer Festival, Fall Camping Trip, MoCo Epic and others as opportunities arise. Many of these activities have well-developed teams organizing and conducting events. The activities director assures teams have adequate funding, plans and resources to hold successful events.
Communications Director – 2 year term - Responsible for and not limited to helping communicate MORE’s messaging. The communications director works with fellow board members and activity leaders to enhance MORE’s messaging. The communications director will be involved with publishing board of director meeting minutes, Trailhead New, MORE’s Annual Report and serve as a resource for messaging questions from board members, staff and trail liaisons. MORE’s Board of Directors, staff and volunteers create most of their own content and may ask for help from the communications director as needed.
