·       Membership Update (Rob)

o    We were a little slow, which is normal for March

o    Financially on memberships we were down again for the month versus last year, but it was a slower month, which is typical for March.

o    As of April 11, 2026, MORE's membership stands at 2,009 (14 new plus 1,995 current), down from 2,038 in February and 2,016 in January. For context, last year's comparable figure was 2,106, so the organization is trailing its prior-year membership count. Revenue is also running behind: 2026 year-to-date collections total $16,181 versus $18,032 at the same point in 2025, a gap of roughly $1,851. There are 137 members currently lapsed or expiring (combining March and February 2026), compared to 68 at this time last year.

o    On the activity side, March saw 14 new joins (versus 15 last year), continuing an upward monthly trend from 8 in January and 12 in February. Renewal activity has been healthy in the near-term category — 57 members renewed within 15 days in March (58 last year) — though short-term renewals (15 days to 3 months) dipped to 9 from 10 last year. Mid-range renewals (3–6 months) came in at just 1, up from none the prior year, and long-term renewals (6+ months) were 4, half of last year's 8.

o    Large donors — those giving over $100 annually — numbered 11 in March at an average of $1,250, compared to 12 last year. That metric has been climbing month over month, with February posting 14 large donors at $1,600 and January recording 15 at $1,950.

o    In short, MORE is seeing steady month-over-month improvement in joins and near-term renewals, but overall membership and revenue remain below last year's pace, with a notably larger pool of lapsed or expiring members.

o    Not a huge change financially. A little slower right now, but will send out reminders on Wednesday.

·       Trails

o    Virginia (Michael)

§   Related to the O’Sullivan piece, walked the Edgar Tillet Memorial Trail with Brock from Ironwood Outdoors and looks like we really need to work on getting a ton of dirt there – about 100 truck loads to do the size of jumps we want. That is moving in the right direction.

§   Jali and Alison set up a meeting in Fairfax at the Bike Lane in Reston, which had a good turnout. A lot of different feedback on trails. Lots of asks about a NOVA Epic.

·       The takeaway is there are some options for a NOVA Epic around various trails and connectors outside of Lake Fairfax rather than trying to connect other trails. Something we are putting on the radar.

§   Looking for a couple of new liaisons – found one maybe for Meadowood.

§   Many people are being relocated for the military.

§   Rob

·       At Wakefield, got in line for Ironwood a bit late, so going to be stuck in mid to late summer.

§   Issues in Northern Virginia with electric dirtbikes. They are all over jump lines. The signage doesn’t do anything.

·       Ride Program Update (Kathy)

o    A lot on the calendar. It runs itself once they set it up.

o    Started a new Fairland women’s ride on Wednesday evenings.

o    Kent Island – Jason Jacobs – has picked up sMOREs and other rides at Terrapin Park

o    Also some talk of rides in Tuckahoe
