Located in Carroll County MD, Hashawha Environmental Center is home to multi-use trails, fishing, camping and Carroll County's Outdoor School.
"From forests to fields, Hashawha’s trail system offers something for every level of hiker. Trails incluse: The Vista, Stream, Wilderness, Boundary, Warbler and Hickory."
The Vista Trail (marked by white triangles) is 1.2 mile loop around Bear Branch Nature Center. This trail is easy to moderate and ideal for short walks. The Vista Trail passes through wooded areas, skirts farm fields, and leads visitors to the Raptor Mews, the enclosure for Hashawha’s birds of prey.
The Stream Trail (marked by green triangles) is a delight for birders and wildlife-watchers. Beginning at Lake Hashawha, the trail follows Bear Branch Stream before cutting through fields and meadows. The historic Martin Cabin can also be found along the Stream Trail. This trail is approximately 1.8 miles long."
Boundary (a large ~2.5 mile loop around the property boundary, Warbler (a short 1/4 mile downhill trail) and Hickory -- about 1 mile long with both climbs and downhill.
In addition, the Hashawha trail system is combined with even more trails via the Union Mills "Reservoir" and the Union Mills Equestrian Center. When combined with these two trail systems there are well over 12 miles of trail riding to be had at various levels of riding.

* When donating to a specific trail system MORE will endeavor to use your donation as it was designated, but under extenuating circumstances may assign the funds to other trails/projects in consultation with the appropriate trail liaison or project leader in such cases as, including but not limited to, the closure of the park, failure of the project to move forward, completion of the project under budget, extended periods of inactivity and/or other factors limiting the ability to apply the funds to the original intended designation.
