FAIRLAND RECREATIONAL PARK
Fairland, MD
FAIRLAND RECREATIONAL PARK
Straddling Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, Fairland Recreational Park is the only bi-county park of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Of the 322 acres on Montgomery County side, only 39 acres are developed with athletic fields and courts. The remaining parkland is preserved in its natural state. On the Prince George’s County side the park is home to the Fairland Sports and Aquatic Complex.
Fairland Recreation Park has 10+ miles of fast, flowy mutli-use natural surface trails as well as several miles of paved paths.
There are two distinct access points to the park: the parking lot off Greencastle Road which also has bathroom facilities or take the gravel road from the back cover of the parking to the paved trail where you'll find the single-track trailhead on left.
