LOCUST SHADE PARK

Triangle, VA

Locust Shade

Locust Shade is a small county park with diverse terrain situated along Prince William County’s Southern portion of the Potomac Heritage Trail Corridor. With county approval, MORE completed the build of two advanced mountain bike trails, The Col Du Shade and 95th Street, and a dedicated jump line along the power lines.

Locust Shade provides an anchor for the Potomac Heritage Trail and helps with connectivity to other nearby popular trail systems, including those aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico (Quantico MTB Club) and the trails in Prince William Forest Park (NPS).

Overall there are nearly 7 miles of trails at Locust Shade, 5 of which are multi-use.

Please use the Donate Now Form on this page to help us continue to improve this little gem in Prince Wiliam County, VA.

The Locust Shade team is activley rasing funds to extend the Power Jump line in 2025/26. The project will include adding a drop line and other features to allow riders to progress and improve their skills. Please help us make this project a reality, every little bit helps!
