KENT ISLAND TRAIL

Located inside Terrapin Nature Park, at the base of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, the Off-Road Trail @ Terrapin Nature Park opened to the public in Sept 2021. This multi-use, single track, natural surface trail provides family friendly recreation suitable for mountain bikers and hikers of all ages and skill levels. It does not permit motorized vehicle or equestrian use. This trail was built by hand by 65 local volunteers and took 560 hours of work to complete. The main loop is beginner friendly and measures 1.2 miles long. There are 3 additional trail loops that provide more difficult terrain for intermediate riders and adds an additional 0.6 miles of trail with some natural technical features like berms, rollers, and log overs. The trail was built and maintained by the Mid-Atlantic Off Road Enthusiasts in partnership with Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation. The trail entrance is on Bateua Dr behind the pond in the Kent Island Business Park
