Arlington Trails Advocacy

Arlington Trails has been working for over three years to bring managed, multiuse, natural surface trails to the county. The efforts are finally paying off!


The Arlington Public Spaces Master Plan (PSMP) Implementation Advisory Committee recently voiced support for bikes on natural surface trails and Arlington Department of Parks and Recreation gave a presentation laying out the process to explore adding bikes to the PSMP. We want to continue this progress but we need funding to truly make biking on dirt trails happen.


Please help us with the following:

  • Expenses to host an upcoming bike skills course events to promote mountain biking in Arlington

  • The purchase of promotional goods, including stickers and flyers

  • Social media advertising

  • Food for monthly meetings and outreach events

  • Other miscellaneous costs

* When donating to a specific trail system MORE will endeavor to use your donation as it was designated, but under extenuating circumstances may assign the funds to other trails/projects in consultation with the appropriate trail liaison or project leader in such cases as, including but not limited to, the closure of the park, failure of the project to move forward, completion of the project under budget, extended periods of inactivity and/or other factors limiting the ability to apply the funds to the original intended designation.
